My Birthday Weekend

Friday was my birthday, and we got to go out to dinner at a Japanese Steak House. Gotta love the volcano onion! (Which happens to be oh so very close to the house! Good for me but bad for my bank account!) On Saturday Miss K. performed in a quartet for Solo Ensemble. Its a big music day at the school that is strictly voluntary. Students get to choose music to either sing or play before judges. The judge seem to really enjoy the girls (especially Miss K.) He told them to return again next year and play something more upbeat that shows off the fingering skills. (She ended up getting a certificate that is equivalent to 2nd place! Yeah Miss K.!)
