Living on Easy Street

We are almost there! To our new house that is. We signed the loan papers yesterday. All the "i's" have been dotted and the "t's" have been crossed. It all just needs to be reviewed and filed with the county. We should be getting our new keys on Thursday evening. Which means we get to spend the weekend moving. We are gonna be so glad to be out of the apartment, and into a house with our own yard (and it is a gorgeous yard). And there is even a swing set for the kids! I am gonna miss my wonderful new friends and neighbors. I think we couldn't have ended with better neighbors, even if we had hand picked them ourselves. There will be pictures of the new place coming soon! Click here - House Pictures - to see the post of the pictures from our new house!

Pony Rides

Little Man was invited to another birthday party this last weekend. It was for a little girl in his class - one that he actually plays with! They had the party at a stable that does pony rides! All the kids had so much fun riding the ponies. On the small pony, the trainer was giving the kids lessons on how to ride)

Touring Seattle

It has been a busy time for us. The girls from Cali went home this week. It was so much getting to see them again and having them here for a couple of weeks. (Next time Mom and Dad are gonna have to come up too!) We went walking about Seattle with the girls. And we hiked at Snoqualmie Falls. (I ended up with a couple of extra days off of work to go touring about due to a case of pink eye. Thankfully it was sunny enough that I could wear my sunglasses everywhere!)
Here's a pic of the kids waiting for a butterfly to land on them inside the the Butterfly House at the Pacific Science Center.

Every year in Seattle they have the pig parade. People make these pigs and after the parade they set around the city and then auctioned off after the summer. We went walking for a few blocks trying to find as many as we could. The kids really loved this one. It was titled "Proscuitto and melon".

Here is a pic from above the falls and then a pic of the falls after we hiked to the bottom.

Wordless Wednesday # 57

We went to Canada

We are back! We took the kids to Canada for a mini vacation. The girls from the OC came up to visit for a couple of weeks and got to go with us!

Joe took this picture. He posed the kids and everything. This was on Second Beach at Stanley Park during sunset.

And here the beautiful sunset that drove up to be at the beach.

We had some fun with the kids at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. You can see the bridge in the background of this pic. It is 450 feet across and it is suspended 230 feet above the Capilano River. After you cross over, they have a set of bridge and decks that go from tree to tree (The Tree Top Climb).

And we walked all over downtown Vancouver, B.C. The kids were loving this building. The kept calling it the Canadian Space Needle! There are so many more pictures to share, after I get through all of them.
